I thought our 7th round pick (#196) went to Tampa Bay in the Bishop trade. I don't believe that part of the trade was conditional on anything.

Thanks for the catch, corrected. I believe Kings have 11th, 41st, 72nd, 103rd, 134th, 138th (from Tampa Bay for Peter Budaj), and 165th picks.

Damn Reign defense sucks! They can't expect Campbell to stand on his head every game. He is not that good. They need to play better, stay on their man, clear the zone, and move the puck. Stothers got this I think. If you can trust anyone in this world...it's coach Stothers.

Campbell, at least this season, has been excellent for this level. I believe he still has a chance to start in the NHL one day too; his talent shines through on many a save.

Common now Sheng. Let's not get crazy with the superlatives here. He may be on a hot streak and had had a couple before but the only description of what he has been this season I would use is competent. If he was playing so well as you say, I'm sure Lombardi would have brought him up long ago to replace Zatkoff.

For Campbell, not a bad season, since he hasn't done anything since world Jr.'s.

Goaltending is hard to predict -- he could flame out after this year -- and I'm no goalkeeping expert. But it's what I've heard from people that I trust. He still has the talent that made him a lottery pick and the mental side is catching up.

No doubt he is improving and Ranford and Imoo are the best in the business; people in the know have told me he has the body and skill set of Quick with the athleticism and all. But I really don't think he will be that good. When Campbell is on his game, he is reading plays well and making great saves. I just don't see in him that same explosiveness of Quick. They have him playing well but I really don't think he has the fire and drive of Quick either. Only time will tell of coarse and I'm far from an expert myself, but he's 25 and is only getting his career started now. Younger guys are going to be coming up trying to supplant him on the depth chart.

Hey numbnuts, I know I'm just a cancer and all but have you seen the interview John Hoven dkd with Kings Assistant GM Mike Futa where he said this:

"When you look at our teams that won, we were so surrounded by incredible leadership,” noted Kings Assistant GM Mike Futa. “If you think about it, they were borderline Hall of Fame leaders – Mike Richards, Jarret Stoll, Matt Greene. And Justin Williams, that’s another level or form of grit. The amount of ‘pack mentality’ that we had, as far as team toughness, it was incredible… And it was brought to a clear head in that Calgary game. Being out of the playoffs aside, or where we were in the standings, to see the way that all unfolded kind of brought more of a focus on what was missing. When Jarome Iginla, who had only been part of our family for three or four weeks, is the guy that answered the bell the way our entire 2012-2014 teams would normally answer the bell for each other, there’s a concern.”

I do recall you telling me all this fluff about Mike Richards and Willie Mitchell not being as important to the team as I say. Futa doesn't mention Mitchell but he does mention Greene, Stoll, and Williams; all guys that I've mentioned myself using the word, "grit".

It's time you apologize and start giving some respect to this, "cancer".

This is why I was saying that Iggy was putting on a leadership CLINIC for all the non-leaders wearing the letters on their sweaters. I'm glad someone in the front office saw it too!
